Arts Day Celebrates Art, Music, & Drama

301 Freedom Place South transformed into a gallery and performance space for Arts Day on May 16. Artwork from all three divisions including paintings, sculptures, photographs, etchings, and more were displayed throughout the building, from the gallery in the arts wing to the common spaces on the other floors. The day also included performances in the black box theater of “Arcadia” by Upper School students, a drama performance by seventh grade students, and Upper School Improv, while script readings were given in the fourth-floor atrium by members of the eighth-grade class. Music filled the building as well. Choruses and orchestras performed in the auditorium, and chamber groups performed in the lobby and the fourth-floor atrium. Arts Day was a feast of sights and sounds for the entire Collegiate community.
